Unni Rajan P Dev was born on Saturday, 12 March 1994 (age 27 years; as of 2021) in Kochi, Kerala. He is the son of famous Late actor Rajan P Dev. He did his schooling at Rajarshi Memorial Higher Secondary School. He completed his Sound engineering degree from Chennai. Unni was fond of acting since childhood and participated in many plays in his school.

Career
Unni Rajan P Dev began his acting career with the 2015 Malayalam film Aadu, written and directed by Midhun Manuel Thoma. In 2016, he was seen in movies like Appuram Bengal Ippuram Thiruvithamkoor (2016) and IDI: Inspector Dawood Ibrahim (2016). In 2017, Unni did the lead role in the film Kattu directed by Arun Kumar Aravind. His performance in the movie was highly appreciated by the audience and gained him a lot of fame as a mainstream actor. Later in 2018, he was seen in a number of movies like Aadu – Oru Bheegara Jeevi Aanu 2, Mohanlal, Mandharam, Shibu, and Janamaithri.
Controversy
On 12 May 2021, Unni’s wife, Priyanka, was found dead in her parent’s house in Thiruvananthapuram’s Vattappara village. Initially, the local local police filed a case in connection with Priyanka’s unnatural death. Earlier, she registered a complaint about domestic violence against Unni at Vattappara Police Station in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Later, Priyanka’s brother filed a complaint against Unni, alleging that Priyanka was harassed by Unni and her in-laws. Soon after the investigation began, Unni was found infected with the COVID-19. After a quarantine of 14 days and a negative covid report, Unni was arrested by the local police on 25 May 2021.
During an interview with a local newspaper, Priyanka’s mother said,
I had seen Priyanka being beaten when she was staying in our house with Unni. When I went to stop him, he punched me. She had even sustained injuries due to the attacks.”
