Marvel’s Eternals Storyline Will Take Place Across “Two Time Periods”
The storyline of Eternals spans across thousands of years in the comic books. Marvel has now said that the movie will tell the story across two time periods considering its sprawling storyline.
According to Comicbook.com, Disney has sent out a press release about Eternals that says, “The story takes place across two time periods. One storyline is set in the past when they operated as a formidable team and a close family unit. The second storyline is in the present, when the group has fractured and split apart, content to live among humans, hiding in plain sight. The prevailing threat of the Deviants, which once again threatens the existence of mankind, means the Eternals need to put their differences aside and regroup.”
Eternals director Chloe Zhao has previously revealed that the movie will have a major impact on the MCU. Zhao said, “I think we stand alone as a film for sure. But I do think we will have a very big effect on the future of the MCU with what happens in this film. Which, you know, as a fan, is really satisfying for me! I geek out.”
Eternals is set to release in Indian theaters on November 5 in six languages including English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. The movie picks up after the events of Avengers: Endgame, where Sersi, Ikaris, Makkari, Kingo, Ajak, Phastos, Gilgamesh, Thena, Druig, and Sprite join forces to protect the planet from the Deviants. The movie will also feature another race of creatures called the Celestials.
